The nose, or header panel on a Trans Am/Firebird can reveal many things such as: the year, engine type, edition type or model. The nose seems to change every three years.
 1970-1973, the grills changed from egg crate, small squares to a six sided shape in 1972 & 1973. |
 1974, similar styles in 74, 75 & 76. The slots in the grill are vertical lines. | |
