Rust Tech-3

Rusttech-1| Rusttech-2| Rusttech-3

The Trans Am / Firebird has many typical spots they all rust in. These cars are not known for their rust, rather if they are stored in wet, snowy, salty climates they will rust in some expected places. They tend to collect water around the rear window chrome trim, water sits there to rust and ultimately make a hole that leads to the trunk. Pay attention to these areas when washing and drying your car, get this water out. Like most midwest or east coast cars driven and stored outside the lower body and quarter panels take a beating if there is no protection (mud flap) or if the salt isn't washed off right away. There are plenty of these cars on the road from other dry states and they are rust free.
